Scout- Smart Watch branding
Scout Watch is a conceptual brand developed from a random prompt to explore branding, visual strategy, and product storytelling. The prompt generated a smartwatch brand for a Gen Z woman in her 20s based solely on my pet’s name—Scout. I was interested in why the name resonated with me, drawing from both my beagle’s instinct-driven curiosity and Scout Finch’s fearless integrity in To Kill a Mockingbird. I wanted to explore how those qualities—independence, adventure, and purpose—could be reflected in a wearable object. The result is a watch designed not just as a functional tool, but as a quiet statement of identity. This project was an opportunity to approach branding holistically, considering not just aesthetics but how a product can evoke a distinct feeling and sense of belonging.
